'Words of Wisdom' Day 8 featuring Charlotte Elea

What does 'community' mean to you:

“Community is a group of people all sharing at least one thing in common that bring them together. Communities look out for and support their members, welcome everyone, band together during challenging times, solve problems collectively, and are not afraid of being truthful always.”

Why is having a soul tribe important:

“Soul Tribe to me is different from Community, in that these are people that I know totally get me and I get them on a deep level. We are walking this earth for a similar purpose, and are magnetized together because we know we are to walk in tandem. It's so important to have a soul tribe to have others mirror back the awesomeness and realness of you, and you them, and to have people who you can be totally 100% completely real, totally show up and know that you are held and seen. To have others hold you to the greatest version of you when you are struggling, too. I believe these things are REQUIREMENTS for self-care for those of us desiring to walk the path of our soul's this lifetime.”

What words of advice do you have for women seeking out deeper community and connection:

“First, I would say that for whatever you are seeking, it begins with you. If you want more authentic and deeper connection, then begin to show up in spaces more authentically, and more yourself. It feels vulnerable, yes. But it will magnetize those people who get you to you. And if this feels like too much, start small. Begin with your 1-to-1 conversations with friends. Experience the difference when you open up about your feelings, hopes, disappointments and dreams, rather than gossip or chit chat. ”

What are your thoughts when it comes to personal growth:

“Ha! Tori, I don't believe I can answer this question in one paragraph! Do you have 100 pages I can fill in? My whole life is a continual journal of personal growth and transformation. As human beings who choose to walk the path of our souls, we will grow and transform many times throughout our lives. This is what makes life fulfilling and meaningful.”

If you could give your younger self one piece of advice what would it be:

“You are not alone. It is only fear that keeps you feeling alone. There are so many out there who want and need your presence, your gifts, your voice and your truth. The pain and the confusion you will go through is totally worth it. Your fears are totally unwarranted. Your love and compassion are your greatest gifts--give them to yourself first. Go easy on yourself--you aren't doing anything wrong. ”

What do you love about being a woman:

“I love that I get to topple the patriarchy! I love that my bleed brings me in deep communion with the cycles of the earth. I love that I get to heal and bring back the divine feminine into prominence through following intuition, embracing emotions and surrendering/receiving as a way of being in business.”
