'Words of Wisdom' Day 3 featuring Linda Goodspeed

What does 'community' mean and look like to you:
“For me, it's the different group of friends that I have. I have my community from my temple, I have my coaching community , I have my different work communities that include people from my different jobs and of course those from my elementary, high school and college.”

What words of advice do you have for women seeking out deeper community and connection:
“You need to peel the layers off of yourself. And you must allow to show yourself to be vulnerable and take a chance. Not to be so polite and careful. I think this is why many women aren't successful connecting with men, because they aren’t real enough. Need to be real, open and authentic.”

What are your thoughts when it comes to personal growth:
“ You need to continually grow. If you are getting married, or pregnant, you may need to take a break for a bit. But in each job you should take on something new or move to a new role once you know 80% of it. Challenge yourself to grow. Don't be too comfortable.”

If you could give your younger self one piece of advice what would it be:
“Never stop going to the gym you idiot! ha-ha. I think I grew
throughout my life and I am thankful for it. I have had a wonderful time learning about life, and about myself and allowing myself the luxury of getting certified in coaching. I love that.”

What do you love about being a woman:
“The power in it.”

What does 'community' mean and look like to you: “Being present, supportive and available.”

Why is having a soul tribe important: “Being busy is often seen as being successful and happy, but not in my eyes. Life is short and as a mom of two it’s important for me to remember that I am a woman and my own person.”

What words of advice do you have for women seeking out deeper community and connection: “People want to connect to something bigger, we just need to value the time and effort it takes.”

What are your thoughts when it comes to personal growth: “Every experience good or bad helps form who you are.”

If you could give your younger self one piece of advice what would it be: “Stay true to the genuine friends who are there in good times and bad. The ones who go out of their way to stay in touch.”

What do you love about being a woman: “Being independent and nurturing.”
